You can get in touch through the booking form on this site, or a GP referral can be emailed to us at admin@kapwapsychology.com.au on your behalf (please make sure your GP includes your correct email address). Either way, I'll respond within 2-3 business days.
Before anything is booked, I'll take some time to consider whether Kapwa Psychology is likely to be a good fit for what you're bringing. If it is, I'll be in touch via email to arrange our first session.
Our first session

Our first session goes for about 80 minutes. A 50% deposit is required to secure your appointment at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due on the day of your booking. More information on our fees is available here
The extended time is intentional so we can take some time to get to know your story. It also means that we tend to complete the initial assessment in the first session. You don't have to share everything straight away - we go at a pace that feels right for you.
We'll spend that first session getting to know each other, understanding what's brought you here, and beginning to map out what you're hoping for. This includes starting to map what's been going well for you, alongside what’s been difficult.
By the end, we'll have a clearer sense of whether we're a good fit and what working together might look like.
If we decide to continue

Most people need a few sessions before they feel genuinely settled and comfortable. That's normal, and there's no pressure to know straight away.
If we decide to continue, therapy will be shaped around your specific goals. This might include EMDR therapy, eating disorder treatment, intensive therapy, or broader psychological therapy, drawing on approaches tailored to your needs.
