Telehealth Psychologist
Australia-wide
Compassionate care wherever you are
Online therapy means you can access integrative, compassionate support from wherever feels like home.
How it works
I offer telehealth sessions, available anywhere in Australia.
I use a secure video call platform purpose-built for health consultations. It is a simple, browser-based video link. There's no software to download and no account to create.
You'll receive a link before your session, and you can click straight in from your computer, laptop, or mobile phone.
Just as effective as in-person care
I've shaped how I work at Kapwa so that telehealth care is as helpful as in-person sessions. This is also backed by lots of research, which shows that telehealth can be just as effective as in-person sessions for trauma and other concerns.
A few ways this shows up in practice:
EMDR adapts fully to video. We can use different forms of bilateral stimulation, including self-tapping techniques or an online visual program
Interactive digital tools
Breaks as needed to manage screen fatigue
Drawing on your own environment. Whether it's a cushion, a blanket, an object in the room, or simply the comfort of a familiar space, we make use of what's around us
Somatic therapy also works this way, by integrating healing resources from your home or wherever you're meeting.
Telehealth can also be combined with EMDR Intensives, which run in person in Coffs Harbour, for those who find this combination helpful.
How to prepare for your telehealth session
A few things help you get the most from a session:
A private space
Stable internet connection
Some room to move
A moment to settle beforehand
